Several of our industrial electronics—headed by a TDLAS gas-sensor line—carry only Chinese MA approval. I need them brought in line with IEC 60079 so they can pass both IECEx and ATEX. The work begins with a thorough review of every schematic, layout and bill of materials. From there, the key deliverable is a set of clear, actionable compliance recommendations that closes every gap between the current MA file and IEC 60079 requirements for explosive atmospheres. Intrinsic-safety calculations, enclosure integrity, creepage/clearance, temperature classification and component selection must all be covered. Because IECEx/ATEX certification expertise is the single most important skill on this job, I expect you to interpret the standard clause by clause, cite the exact test requirements, and show how each design change satisfies them. Fluency in Chinese as well as English will make the hand-off with the existing manufacturer far smoother, but it is not an absolute barrier. Deliverables • Gap-analysis report highlighting all non-conformities • Detailed engineering change proposals with references to IEC 60079 clauses • Updated drawings, schematics and parts lists ready for third-party test labs • Draft certification dossier (EMC, intrinsic safety, temperature rise, etc.) Acceptance criteria • Every identified gap is matched with a modification that can be verified against IEC 60079. • Documentation is complete enough for a notified body to issue an ATEX EU-type Examination Certificate or an IECEx ExTR without further design queries. The first phase is strictly consulting; once we agree on the compliance roadmap, I expect ongoing collaboration through testing and final certification.
