Hi, I’d be really interested in working on this. I’m a Physics Honours graduate, so I come from a strong science background and have a good understanding of how scientific concepts work and, more importantly, how they can be broken down and explained clearly. What I think makes me a little different for this particular work is that I don’t look at school science as putting all the information into a document. I understand that for students from grades 9–12, there’s a difference between what is scientifically interesting and what is actually important for them to understand, remember and be able to apply. Knowing what to include, what to simplify, where a diagram will work better than a paragraph, and what students are likely to struggle with is something I pay a lot of attention to. I’d bring that approach to the guides, clear explanations, useful diagrams, everyday examples, strong definitions and questions that actually check understanding rather than just adding questions for the sake of it. I’d be happy to start with the first guide and let the quality of that work speak for itself before moving on to the others.
