one question decides whether your window is realistic, and it is not about how fast anyone codes: do you already have a synced node? syncing zcash from cold takes many hours on its own. if there is no node standing and no provider account, the clock is gone before a line is written. if you have a synced node or you are happy to go through a payment provider, the window is workable. the second question, and the one that separates people who have done this from people who have not: transparent addresses or shielded? a t-address you can watch and reconcile like any utxo chain. a shielded z-address cannot be monitored by watching the chain at all, you need the viewing key, and the whole design of your sync changes depending on the answer. tell me which you are using. after that the work is mostly not the connection. it is deciding confirmation depth and handling reorgs, because a payment your database marked paid at first sight can be undone. so writes have to be idempotent and reversible, otherwise the two sides drift apart quietly and you find out from a customer. what i would target first is detection and confirmation at an agreed depth, with the database reconciling correctly and surviving a restart. that is the part that must be right. the walkthrough and notes come with it. which address type, and is there a node already running?
