Please note this is not just a PCB design task, I need a complete implemented solution I need a compact, ultra-low-power PCB that can read a group of simple slot-mounted switch and immediately report its state over Bluetooth. The board must operate from both a rechargeable battery and a small solar panel, so smart power-path control and energy harvesting are central to the design. I picture a single microcontroller with integrated Bluetooth Low Energy, a high-efficiency buck/boost stage, battery charging and protection circuitry, and a clean, debounced input line for the switch. Low standby current is critical: the device should sleep until the switch changes or a scheduled health-check broadcast is required. Once the object is placed or removed, the board wakes, advertises the new status, and returns to deep sleep. Space is tight; keeping the footprint minimal while allowing easy assembly is important. I can supply mechanical constraints and the exact switch model as soon as we start. I need this done as soon as possible, so please approach the task with components that are readily available. Deliverables • Complete schematic in KiCad, Altium, or Eagle • Optimized PCB layout and Gerber files ready for fabrication • Detailed BOM with primary and alternate parts (all in-stock) • Simple reference firmware that advertises “occupied / vacant” over BLE for quick testing • Assembly notes and test procedure to verify current draw and wireless range I’m ready to move quickly and will be responsive to keep momentum high.

Hi I am an embedded systems engineer with over 12 years of experience. I have extensive experience with ultra-low-power BLE sensor products, compact PCB design, rechargeable battery/solar power paths, charger/protection circuits, and the small firmware needed to make the hardware useful in the real world. I understand this is a complete implemented solution, not only a PCB layout. I can design the schematic and PCB around readily available parts, keep standby current as the main design target, and provide Gerbers, BOM with alternates, assembly notes, test steps, and simple BLE firmware to advertise occupied/vacant state for verification. I can also support prototype bring-up and refinements toward a consumer-grade product if you plan to move beyond the first build. A few details will help lock the design quickly: exact switch model, available board envelope, battery/solar panel size, expected BLE range, and how often you want health-check broadcasts. Once those are confirmed I can move fast with part selection and layout. Please contact me to discuss details.

Hello, This project aligns well with my experience in ultra-low-power IoT hardware, BLE firmware development, energy harvesting, and battery-powered embedded systems. I understand that you need a complete working solution, not just a PCB design, including hardware architecture, firmware, power management, testing, and manufacturing-ready deliverables. My proposed approach is to use a low-power BLE SoC such as the nRF52 series, combined with a solar-aware battery charging and power-path management circuit optimized for extremely low sleep current. The firmware will operate in an event-driven manner, waking only on switch-state changes or scheduled status broadcasts, then returning to deep sleep to maximize battery life. The design will include schematic capture, PCB layout, component selection based on current availability, BLE firmware for occupied/vacant reporting, power-consumption validation, assembly documentation, and a test procedure covering current draw, charging behavior, wake-up events, and BLE range verification. I have experience developing low-power wireless sensor nodes, BLE-based monitoring devices, battery-powered IoT products, and solar-assisted embedded systems. Once you provide the switch details, solar panel specifications, battery capacity target, and mechanical constraints, I can finalize the architecture and begin immediately.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Your project is a great fit for my background in ultra-low-power BLE and battery-powered IoT hardware. The key challenge here is not the BLE communication itself, but achieving extremely low sleep current while managing solar charging, battery protection, and reliable wake-up on switch events. My approach would be to use a low-power BLE SoC (Nordic nRF52 series or similar), interrupt-driven wake-up from the slot switch, and an energy-efficient power architecture that supports both rechargeable battery operation and solar harvesting. The device would remain in deep sleep, wake only on state changes or scheduled health broadcasts, transmit the status, and immediately return to sleep. Deliverables • Complete schematic (KiCad/Altium/Eagle) • Compact PCB layout and production-ready Gerbers • BOM with primary and alternate in-stock components • BLE reference firmware ("occupied/vacant" advertising) • Assembly, test, and current-consumption verification notes Design Focus • Ultra-low standby current • Solar charging and battery protection • Reliable BLE range and antenna layout • Debounced switch input and event-driven operation • Compact, assembly-friendly PCB A few questions: • What battery chemistry and capacity are preferred? • What are the available solar panel specifications? • What maximum PCB dimensions must be respected? I can start immediately and design the system around readily available components to keep prototyping and production moving quickly.

I will design a compact, ultra-low-power PCB that reads a slot-mounted switch and instantly reports “Occupied” or “Vacant” status over Bluetooth Low Energy. The design will feature an energy-efficient microcontroller with integrated BLE (nRF52840 or similar), high-efficiency buck/boost converter, Li-ion battery charging with solar harvesting (MPPT), and smart power-path management. The firmware will keep the device in deep sleep with extremely low standby current (<10µA), waking only on switch state change or periodic health-check broadcasts. All components will be readily available for fast production. Two quick questions: 1. What is the exact model of the slot-mounted switch you will use? 2. What is your target maximum PCB size (e.g., 30x30mm or smaller)? I’m a specialist in ultra-low-power IoT and energy-harvesting designs with extensive experience in BLE sensor nodes, solar-powered devices, and battery-optimized embedded systems. I have delivered many similar compact, long-life wireless sensors for industrial and commercial applications. I will deliver complete professional KiCad files (schematic + optimized PCB layout + 3D view), full BOM with alternates, ready Gerber files, well-commented firmware, assembly notes, and a detailed test procedure. Additionally, I commit to **1 full month** of free support after delivery for any refinements or optimizations. Ready to build a clean, efficient, and highly reliable solar-powered BLE sensor for you. Let’s move fast and make it happen!

Hello, I will design the hardware layout and write the firmware for your compact, solar-powered BLE sensor board. I will select a highly efficient microcontroller with an integrated Bluetooth Low Energy transceiver to keep the circuit space and footprint minimal. To handle the power-path control, I will integrate a specialized energy-harvesting integrated circuit designed to gather solar energy and manage battery charging and protection safely. I will design a hardware-debounced interrupt circuit for the slot-mounted switch, allowing the microcontroller to remain in deep sleep with microamp-level standby current, waking up only during physical switch changes or scheduled interval broadcasts to transmit data. 1) Do you have a preferred rechargeable battery chemistry and physical size constraint? 2) What are the maximum length, width, and height dimensions allowed for the finished PCB? 3) Which software (such as Altium Designer or KiCad) do you prefer for the schematic capture and PCB layout files? Thanks, Bharat
