Hi! I am a legal document transcriptionist with two years of experience with typing and editing transcripts looking for a proofreading opportunity.
Based on my education, experience, and skills, there are several reasons why I would be a great fit for your project. First, I have a natural affinity for proofreading and editing because of my eye for grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors, which helps me to correct errors within transcripts at my job every day. Secondly, I have a bachelor's degree in English with a concentration in creative writing from Grove City College, where I received high grades in a professional editing course and a technical and professional document design course. Third, I have experience with book writing as a novelist who has completed two full-length manuscripts, which I have formatted and edited to meet publication standards. Fourth, I have experience with copy-writing through my prior role as a staff writer for the Grove City College student newspaper. Fifth, I have knowledge about book marketing from attending classes at an annual conference for a writing organization of which I am a member. And lastly, I genuinely enjoy and have had experience editing a wide variety of materials such as legal documents and a published novel.
Is this a long-term position?
Thanks!
