We have an old windows based software, i think its pascal (whole program attached here), it was basically a program to query a clock and update the pc time based on the clock's reply.
its mostly a program to sync the pc time with this clock time, previously the user will just run this software whenever he wants and it will obtain the time from this clock.
the pc and clock are connected via serial port/rs232 cable.
we have migrated our systems to linux and would like to be able to convert this software to a linux based application. Can be either executed from command line or can be run from a linux desktop pc, whichever easier, preferably just a command line application that can run, obtain the time from this clock and update the server time.
this server will then be used to provide the time to the other servers, maybe you can assist us in configuring this too, we have a rough idea about ntp etc,
anyway not sure what other information is needed, whether the program source is sufficient, can explain a bit more if needed,
i think the program is pretty self explanatory, so if you need more information can discuss it,
