This project is to develop a 'Store Locator' native iPhone application with Google maps integration.
The application is intended to be downloaded from the Apple iPhone App Store and used to locate the nearest store from a list of possible shopping stores. The store locations will be displayed on google maps with options to find walking or driving directions to a particular store.
The key requirements are:
1 - the application must be a native iPhone app that can be downloaded and installed from the app store.
2 - the application must detect the current GPS location
3 - the application must allow the user to select an alternative starting location
4 - the application will read the location of all stores from a public website (reading XML data over a HTTP connection)
5 - the application will identify the nearest 20 stores and show these on a map.
6 - tapping on the a particular store will show the store details (read from the XML file)
7 - the application will display, using google maps, directions from the current location (or user-specified location) to the store.
8 - the application will allow the user to switch between walking and driving directions to the store.
The project covers all development, user interface design, testing and deployment on the Apple iPhone App Store.
All source code must be delivered with the application.
A full graphical story board will be provided to the bidder along with application icons - but some graphic design may be required.
Bidders should list other iPhone applications they have developed, particularly if deployed on the Apple iPhone App Store (ideally it should be possible to install examples of your work).
The project must be delivered within 2 weeks (although the expected development time taken is a couple of days).
The winning bidder is expected to have a bid of around $750 - $800
