I am currently in the process of developing a formula one management game, but I am unable to figure out how to simulate the race depending on several variables.
The different tracks (ie varying speeds, number of laps, different lap lengths, etc)
Different strategies (ie varying fuel load, tyre types, etc)
Weather conditions (would like it to be changeable during a race, but may be out of my budget scope)
Varying car setups (ie differences in the front wings, new upgraded parts, part wear, etc)
Driver traits (ie level of risk taking, talent, offensiveness, defensiveness, etc)
Staff mistakes (such as Drivers overshooting a corner, or the pit crew being too slow at changing a tyre, etc)
I only really require the program to output each of the drivers lap times (sector 1, 2 & total lap times), position of each driver and the distance between them (in seconds).
Pretty much like the live-f1 timing console.
It must run on linux.
A php script will be created by myself to output a configuration file for the use of the race simulation to determine the above variables to be used.
$1,000 is my highest amount I can afford, so please do not bid unless it is lower than this.
I am also hoping that someone has done a similar project before and would be able to deliver this promptly.
Please leave a message if you require any more information.
