We'd like an executable built that performs the following steps:
1. Check what version of our Browser Helper Object (BHO) is currently installed (done by reading the .dll version information)
2. Transmits the version number to our server over HTTP (e.x. ?v=1.2).
3. If a new version is available, the server will respond with the updated BHO .dll file
4. The updater unregisters the old version of the BHO and then registers the new one.
The exe should be compatible with Windows >= XP (x86 and x64) with minimal dependancies.
We have a development environment ready for testing purposes.
