I create bots and scrapers as a living, however this one has stumped me. I can't seem to get the server requests that the Kik Messenger is making. Let me explain:
Kik Messenger is a simple mobile messenger like AOL or GTalk. It's available on every major smart phone. (download from [url removed, login to view]) What I want to do should be very simple for someone that has worked with something similar to this before.
Here is the entire process:
1) Someone messages me
2) Send a predefined message back to them
3a) Block the person once the message has been sent
3b) If it is a group conversation (e.g. if the person added you to a conversation rather than messaging you alone), leave the conversation rather than blocking anyone
It's that simple - 3 steps. I just can't seem to get the requests that the app is making to the server.
The program should be standalone and work on Windows. I would greatly prefer it to be written in a .NET language, and I'd prefer even more than that for it to be in VB.NET, however anything will be fine, I will just need the resulting source.
Here's how the program should work:
-Input username and password
-Input message (if you can implement tokening that's a plus, otherwise I'll add it myself later)
It should be multithreaded with the main thread being the listener thread, as sometimes dozens of messages per minute go through to the account, so I don't want it getting choked up and end up having 200 messages clogged up waiting to be replied to.
I will not make a milestone until I see a functioning product through TeamViewer or something similar. I will give you account details and a message, and you will run the bot on your own machine for 30 minutes as the test. If I'm satisfied, then I will create a milestone for 100% of the agreed price, you will send over the final program along with the complete source, and I will release the milestone. Very simple.
I will definitely use you for future projects if I like your work here - you can count on that.
Hoping to find an expert that can help me out. Do not bid until you've downloaded the Kik app to your device (or BlueStacks, etc.) and had a look at everything. I've tried looking through Fiddler and Bluestacks to get the server requests, and I've tried routing traffic through a Windows Phone to Fiddler to get the requests, and neither worked. Looking forward to hearing what someone else thinks.
