I have a C# project that autodetects a serial port, connects to it and then turns on a led. The software monitors the battery percentage and displays it in a progress bar. The led is turned on when the min battery percentage is reached and off when the max battery percentage is reached. The problem I am having is a race condition that turns on/off the led, when a usb device is connected/disconnected. I need someone to fix this race condition and make sure that the led is not turned off and back on again, when a usb device is connected/disconnected.

Greetings, First of all, I highly suspect it is a racing condition as racing happens when both conditions can be executed in parallel ( you already know that C# code runs in series unless you create parallel tasks). I would like to check your code to see the cause of it. As a fast remedy you may need to put battery margin instead of definite value so that minor drop won't cause LED to turn on again.
