Hello: We need a .NET or COM+ component for generate barcodes using PDF417 format. We will call the component from our .NET (Framework 4.0) application, the component must receive the text data to encode in the PDF417 barcode format and then create a PNG image (in a path of the local hard drive) with the barcode generated. Requirements: 1. Format PDF417 ISO/IEC 15438:2010, do not use: Compact PDF417, Micro PDF417 or Macro PDF417 2. Error correction level: 5 3. Byte compaction mode (not text or numeric, since we need encode many data from an electronic invoice including digital signature of the invoice) 4. Minimum dimensions for the items in the barcode: X-Dimension = 0.0067 inches, Y-Dimension = X-Dimension x 3 (three times X-Dimension) 5. Default size for PNG file: 2.36 inches (width) x 0.79 inches (height), includes the quiet zone space. The component must receive these parameters, if empty use the default size. 6. Default quiet zone space (blank space around th barcode): 0.0394 inches. The component must receive these parameters, if empty use the default size. 7. Barcode color: black 8. High quality PNG file Attached is a Word document showing few samples of the text data that we need encode in the PDF417 barcode. Also, a barcode image for each sample (they are just samples, do not match requirement # 5 above). Thank you

Why the attachments are showing 0 bytes? I am doing something wrong or it has not uploaded properly. Just a request that can you please send me the files again? Whatever, I am going to use Zxing to encode the Text to Portable Data File 417. I just want to use a ready third party component for encoding as it will save our time instead developing the component from scratch. Now, according to your requirement it seems to be needed some modification but this is still managable instead do it from scratch. Before start the project and accept the project from you, I will use this component mentioned above and will send you a generated image for testing. If you will get the correct result then we can move forward with the project. Otherwise, I would not continue further. - You will send the data in text mode or in any other mode? Why you are talking about Byte compaction mode? - Not sure about the dimension, I think all needs to create in a specific dimension, is it not? You mentioned minimum that seems you want various dimension. Please clarify. We need to think about the test environment. I do not have any option to test the barcode after generating it. May, if I will disturb you several time you would fill disturbed. So what protocol you want to set for this? Should I prepare another App for decoding this barcode when we will be in testing phase? I think it would be easier for both us to test the application. I want a discussion before start the work on this.
