SharePoint 2013 CSOM help - updating properties when saving a new document version

We have working code (provided with this job) to save a new version of a document in SharePoint using CSOM - this is on-premise SharePoint 2013 and 2016. We want to update the 'Modifiedby' and 'Modified' (date) properties on the 'new version' we create. Our investigations on the web have left us scratching our heads. we are not certain if it can be done or not. Hopefully you Sharepoint guru's will know for sure and can show us. This forum post below suggests it can work in SP 2010, but he was having issues in SP 2013 or above (which is what we need). Some replies said it could be done and provided some general guidance on how [login to view URL] Attached to this job is our code snippet - it works to save a new version (this code works). What we want from you is an update to this code to allow us to make the 'Modifiedby' and 'Modified' (date) properties on the new version to be the same values as the original version i.e. V1 document has modifiedby of 'John Smith' and Modified of '12/12/2018'. When we create the V2 document today we still want modifiedby to equal 'John Smith' and Modified to equal '12/12/2018'. By default now they get the name of the person we are authenticated as, and todays datetime. We expect to get the code changes from you back in our txt file. If there are any conditions that must be met to make your code would work, please let me know in comments to the code. Hopefully I've provided suitable and detailed enough information. I hope an experienced Sharepoint CSOM developer will feel confident to 'know' how to do what I've asked and can help us. we can achieve it by force update modified by and Date, but it will create new version, there are work around to achieve it. I have total 10 years of experience in SP
