Need a design with calculations for a tower arm on a tower for an antenna located 5 feet from the tower. The design should use galvanized square tubing with 2-inch galvanized round tubing welded on the end. The round tubing will form a small vertical "T" to attach the vertical antenna. The project would require a simple drawing for the welder and tower climber and the basic calculations to mount a 12 lb VHF antenna. The antenna is rated at 200 MPH. The exposed area of the antenna is 1.3 Sq Ft. Lateral thrust is 50 lbs at 100 mph. I would like an Engineer with experience in structural support to do the design and shop drawing however this does not need to be stamped by a professional engineer. I will submit the drawing with calculations for approval to the building department. The important principle is to keep it simple for the tower climber to install with clamps. The design should be with the lightest square tubing that can adequately support the antenna. This will make installation on the tower easier.
