Job Description:
We have a fairly complicated chassis for a project. We contracted a mechanical engineer to design it, but once we sent it for production, the fabricator said that it would be difficult to manufacture and that it looked like it was designed for 3D, not sheet metal bending.
We are looking for a mechanical engineer who has experience with SolidWorks to go over the design we have and optimize it for production. We will release CAD files upon signature of an NDA.
Experience designing for sheet metal is a must, as is knowledge of SolidWorks. Our project is running dearly behind schedule for this exact reason, so speed is of essence.
