Hello, I hope your week is going well. I've spent a good while doing hands-on product design work in CAD, modelling parts that have to look right and actually be manufacturable, not just pretty in a viewport. Recently I worked on a compact enclosure for a small consumer device, taking it from rough dimensions through to a finished SolidWorks assembly with fully rendered visuals for a client presentation. The tricky part was getting the wall thicknesses and draft angles to hold up while the surface still looked clean, so I rebuilt the shell as a multi-body part first, then merged it once the geometry behaved. Ended up saving a couple of rebuild cycles that way. For yours, I'd start by pinning down the key dimensions and any real-world constraints, then block out the primary form before detailing. From there I'd build the assembly in SolidWorks, apply materials and lighting, and run the renders through a proper scene setup rather than default settings. Probably the cleanest path is to confirm the target use first, since that shapes how much tolerance detail the model needs. Would be good to align on what the models are for and whether you need native CAD files alongside the renders, since that changes how I structure the tree.
