I have a completed CAD model for structure and now need a qualified Mechanical/Structural Engineer to perform an independent safety review. The goal is to confirm the design’s integrity and readiness for real-world use in harsh Canadian winters. Key points you will assess • Environmental loads: heavy snowfall, extreme cold temperatures, and high winds. • Compliance: all calculations and recommendations must satisfy current Canadian Building Codes. • Structural soundness: verify member sizing, connections, material selections, and any fatigue-critical details. • Practical constructability: flag areas that may be difficult or costly to fabricate or erect. Preferred scope of work 1. Run your own calculations and, if helpful, an FEA simulation (e.g., ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation, or equivalent) to validate stresses, deflections, and factors of safety. 2. Provide a concise engineering report summarizing assumptions, load cases, calculations, and clear pass/fail conclusions. 3. Include a punch list of recommended changes or optimisations, ranked by priority. 4. Be available for one follow-up round of questions or minor tweaks to the report. All native files, worksheets, or analysis outputs you generate remain part of the deliverable. If you have direct experience with Canadian infrastructure projects and winter load design, let me know—examples of previous similar reviews will weigh heavily in selection.

Hello, I have experience supporting independent engineering safety reviews for structural systems exposed to snow, wind, cold-weather service, and demanding fabrication conditions. I am interested in this project because harsh Canadian winter performance requires clear load assumptions, verified member sizing, reliable connections, and practical constructability feedback. I will review the CAD model, define the applicable Canadian load cases, run independent calculations, and use FEA tools such as SolidWorks Simulation or ANSYS if needed to check stresses, deflections, and safety factors. I do not personally hold Canadian engineering licensure, but I can coordinate sealed review through a Canadian-licensed engineer if required. I will deliver a concise report with assumptions, pass/fail conclusions, prioritized recommendations, native analysis files, and one follow-up review round. Thanks for reading my proposal. Edwin

I am a Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in the structural design and verification of steel structures and heavy industrial equipment using SolidWorks Simulation, supported by engineering calculations. One of my most significant projects was the structural analysis of a 30-ton nuclear reactor shielding door for the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant. I performed detailed static structural analysis, evaluating stresses, deformations, load paths, and structural integrity under critical loading conditions. I have also carried out structural analysis of steel roof structures, verifying member strength, deflection, and connection behavior using SolidWorks Simulation. Similar analyses have been completed for steel office buildings, crane support systems (500 kg–2 tons), 31-ton glass lifting traverses, coal washing plant steel structures, industrial machine frames, and floating pump stations operating in reservoirs. My projects routinely involve assessing static loads, wind effects, structural stability, member sizing, connection details, and manufacturability, together with preparation of engineering calculation reports and fabrication drawings. For this project, my structural verification approach is directly applicable to reviewing steel structures subjected to environmental loading. I can also provide similar calculation reports, FEA examples, engineering drawings, and reference projects from previous work to demonstrate my experience.
