ChatGPT-Powered VSCode Assistant

I need my local VSCode environment wired up with ChatGPT so it can scan my entire website codebase—regardless of language—and behave much like Claude does in other editors. The goal is to have ChatGPT live inside VSCode, reading every file I open (or the whole workspace when prompted) and delivering real-time suggestions for code review, bug detection, and performance or readability optimizations as I work. I’m open to any reliable approach: configuring an existing extension such as Continue, writing a small custom extension, connecting via the OpenAI API, or a mix of these. What matters is that I can press a shortcut, point the assistant at my project, and immediately start a back-and-forth conversation with it while it highlights issues and improvement ideas on the spot.
