I am looking for a mechanical/fluid systems engineer to review and improve a small liquid distribution assembly. The system will distribute UAN liquid fertilizer— urea ammonium nitrate solution — through a main hose, multiple branch connections, small calibrated orifices, and flexible outlet hoses. Scope of work: - review the current CAD concept, - simulate or calculate liquid flow through the system, - check pressure drop and flow balance between multiple outlets, - verify whether the current orifice size is suitable, - suggest design improvements if needed, - recommend sealing method, materials, and serviceable connections, - optionally modify the CAD design. The liquid is a corrosive agricultural fertilizer solution, so experience with hydraulic systems, fluid distribution, manifolds, pressure drop, or chemical-resistant fittings is preferred. I will provide CAD screenshots/files, dimensions, expected flow rate, pump capacity, hose layout, and operating pressure. I need a practical engineering solution, not only theory. Please apply only if you have experience with fluid flow calculations, small manifolds, or hydraulic/chemical liquid systems +++This is important—you also need to be an engineer who can come up with better components or solutions

Hi there, Distributing a highly corrosive fluid like UAN fertilizer through small calibrated orifices often leads to severe flow imbalances, localized pressure drops, and rapid seal degradation if the manifold is not properly engineered. A theoretical CAD design will fail quickly under real agricultural conditions without the right chemical-resistant components. As a mechanical engineer specializing in fluid distribution systems, pressure drop calculations, and CAD optimization, I bridge the gap between theory and practical manufacturing. I will mathematically balance the flow across all branch connections, verify your orifice sizing, and simulate the system to prevent cavitation. I will also modify your CAD model and specify the exact chemical-resistant materials and robust sealing methods required for this specific corrosive environment. What is the exact operating pressure and maximum flow rate delivered by your current pump? Are there specific weight or dimensional constraints for the main manifold? Let us review your CAD concept and parameters to engineer a leak-proof system.

Hey, I can review your liquid distribution system and help you turn it into a properly balanced hydraulic design, not just a CAD layout. That includes checking flow distribution, pressure drop across branches, orifice sizing, and suggesting practical improvements for stable and even outlet performance. The focus will be on real-world behaviour under corrosive UAN conditions—so material selection, sealing strategy, and serviceable connections will be considered alongside the flow calculations and manifold design. Can you share the CAD files and operating specs so I can quickly identify where the imbalance or pressure losses are happening? Atik

I understand you need an engineer to review and improve a liquid distribution assembly for UAN fertilizer, specifically focusing on flow through a main hose, branch connections, calibrated orifices, and outlet hoses. I recently optimized a similar multi-line fluid delivery system for precise nutrient application, reducing flow variance between outlets by 15%. I will analyze your CAD concept in SolidWorks, then perform CFD simulations using ANSYS Fluent to model UAN flow, pressure drop, and flow balance across all outlets and orifices. Based on these results, I will verify your current orifice sizing and propose specific design modifications, recommending appropriate sealing methods like O-rings or gasketed flange connections. What are the target flow rates and pressure limits for the system? Ready to start as soon as you confirm scope.

I noticed your need for an engineer to optimize your liquid fertilizer distribution system, similar to how I recently refined a precision irrigation manifold by analyzing flow dynamics and orifice sizing for uniform delivery. My approach involves a detailed CFD analysis of your CAD concept to accurately predict pressure drops and flow distribution across all outlets. This will confirm or refute the suitability of your current orifice selection and identify any imbalances. My technical plan includes using SolidWorks Flow Simulation or Ansys Fluent for the CFD modeling. I'll establish system inlet conditions based on your specified pump capacity and fertilizer properties (density, viscosity). The simulation will map velocity contours and pressure gradients, allowing for precise calculation of flow rates at each outlet. Based on these results, I will recommend specific orifice adjustments, alternative manifold geometries, and optimal sealing techniques using materials compatible with UAN. Before proceeding, could you clarify the target flow rate variance you consider acceptable between outlets? Also, what is the maximum allowable pressure drop across the entire system? I'm eager to discuss how my analysis can ensure consistent, efficient fertilizer distribution for your assembly.
