I have several hollow-core floor slabs in a residential 3 story property that are showing corrosion-induced distress. In a number of spots the concrete has spalled away, reinforcing strands are visible, and there is light rusting—so the problem is moderate, not yet structural failure, but it does need timely intervention. What I need • 18" width x5' lengthx6" floor slabs with 2 inch top concrete spalling concrete with 2 1/2 inch rib cables bonded fully rusted and broken. The slab width is 40"-48". The slabs slab span vary between 28 ft- 33 ft. • A repair method including all proper repair drawings and specifications that details surface preparation, rebar cleaning/passivation, patching (appropriate repair mortar or polymer-modified concrete), and any finishing or protective coatings you propose. • Material quantities and a schedule that lets me phase the work without shutting down the whole floor. Some pics of damages are attached. The damages occur starting 8 ft from one slab end to 13 ft . The r St of slab show no issues. My preference is for localized repairs rather than full panel replacement. Please mention relevant codes or guidelines (ACI, or similar) you plan to follow and any experience you have with hollow-core units. If you can deliver the repair drawings with complete specs and method statement quickly, we can move straight into the repair phase drawings.
