Immediate IT Security Action & Platform Migration

Project Title: Urgent: Gmail Security Breach Response & Office 365 Migration Planning Project Description: Our company is seeking a highly qualified and experienced freelance IT security professional to urgently address a recent security breach of our primary business Gmail accounts. The immediate priority is to contain the active breach and secure our environment. Following this, we require expertise to plan a migration from Google Workspace to Microsoft Office 365. We need a professional who can act quickly, demonstrate a clear methodology, and has proven experience in both cybersecurity incident response and cloud platform migrations. Key Objectives & Deliverables: Phase 1: Emergency Security Breach Response & Containement Containment: Immediately secure compromised Gmail accounts by changing credentials, signing out of all active sessions, and revoking unauthorized application access. Forensic Assessment: Conduct a preliminary analysis of account logs (login activity, admin audit logs) to identify the breach's origin, scope, and impact (e.g., check for malicious email rules, filters, or forwarding addresses). Implement Enforced 2FA: Configure and enforce Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) using Google Authenticator or a similar TOTP application for all administrative and key staff user accounts (minimum 3 users initially). Staff Training: Provide a concise, clear guide and training session for staff on using Google Authenticator for daily logins. Phase 2: Office 365 Migration Planning & Scoping Consultation: Analyze our current Google Workspace setup (users, data volume, email, drives) and provide a high-level migration plan to Office 365. Recommendation: Deliver a document outlining the recommended migration approach (e.g., cut-over, staged), tools required (e.g., Microsoft Migration tool, BitTitan), and potential challenges. Security Hardening Plan: Provide a checklist of critical security policies to implement in Office 365 post-migration (e.g., Conditional Access policies, Microsoft Defender for Office 365, enforced MFA). Required Skills & Experience: Must-Have: Proven track record in responding to and mitigating email security breaches. Expert-level knowledge of Google Workspace admin console security settings and logging. Hands-on experience implementing and enforcing Google Authenticator (2FA). Proven experience planning and executing migrations from Google Workspace to Microsoft Office 365. Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices for cloud email platforms. Nice-to-Have: Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, Google Workspace Admin, Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert). Experience with migration tools like BitTitan MigrationWiz. Project Terms: Duration: We expect Phase 1 (Breach Response) to be completed within 2hrs hours of hiring. Phase 2 (Migration Plan) can be scoped separately.
