My approach is straightforward: confirm what the script must do (edge logic, header/cookie rewrites, HTML injection, analytics tag, or API proxy), then deploy it in the correct feature with a reversible setup. For a Worker, I’ll create the script, bind any KV/Vars/Secrets, attach it to the right route, and enable only for the needed hostname/path. For Zaraz or a client tag, I’ll add the custom tag with load conditions, consent mapping, and CSP notes. I’ll also verify DNS/proxy settings (orange cloud on the target hostname), set a staging route if needed, and add a quick rollback switch.
