I'm seeking a skilled professional to perform CFD and DEM simulations to validate a newly designed extrusion screw used in processing recycled plastic–sand composites. The primary focus will be on analyzing material flow, melting behavior, thermal-mechanical analysis, and pressure build-up inside the extruder to ensure throughput improvement (target ~300 kg/hr). Key Requirements: 1. Expertise in CFD and DEM simulations, preferably with experience in extrusion or polymer processing. 2. Strong understanding of multiphase flow dynamics involving solid–liquid systems. 3. Ability to analyze conveying efficiency, melting uniformity, pressure distribution, and throughput prediction (please specify your strengths). 4. Proficiency in simulation software (e.g., SolidWorks, ANSYS Polyflow, COMSOL, OpenFOAM, or similar). 5. Experience in interpreting simulation results and providing design recommendations with detailed reports. Ideal Skills and Experience: Advanced degree in mechanical, chemical, or polymer engineering (or related field). Proven track record in extrusion screw or polymer processing simulations.
