I have a reinforced concrete beam design in progress and I need a clear, step-by-step set of engineering calculations to confirm two key items: the applied loads on the member and the resulting deflection under service conditions. Only dead and live loads are to be considered; environmental actions such as wind or seismic are outside this scope. Here’s what I expect from you: • Load calculations – Show the full derivation of design actions on the beam, including any load factors you apply. • Deflection analysis – Provide short-term and, if relevant, long-term deflection checks with references to AS3600-2018 • Engineering reasoning – Annotate each major step so that I can see why a particular equation, reduction factor, or modulus was chosen. Clarity is more important than academic formality. I will supply member dimensions and material strengths once we start, and I would like the final document in PDF.
