The aim of this exercise is to write a 2000-word paper in which you develop a strategy for mentioned company in the case study to regain competitive advantage in the medium to long term (2-10 years). How would mentioned company have to adapt or reinvent its strategy to become profitable again? The aim of developing a strategy is to allow you to demonstrate your understanding of the relevant chapters of the book in analyzing mentioned company in case study and proposing a way forward.
Be sure that your strategy shows a clear line of reasoning, with an introduction, the body of your argument, and a conclusion. Make use of the relevant concepts, models and frameworks discussed during all five lectures as much as possible. Be concise and to-the-point without writing in telegram style. Please make certain that your strategy contains the relevant elements including:
1) an analysis of the strategic problems company is currently facing;
2) how the strategy taps into internal and/or external sources of competitive advantage;
3) the strategic choices you recommend;
4) what is needed for a successful implementation of the strategy.
Evaluation is based on content, accuracy and completeness of information, clarity and consistency of thought and use of relevant concepts, models and frameworks. Besides you will have to show you can be creative while relying on solid evidence.
Make sure the paper is written in correct English and has been checked for spelling and other errors. Please do not plagiarize, i.e. no cut-and-paste without correct reference/quotation to exact source. You will have to write your own story without excessive use of quotes. Refer to the sources you used in an academically correct way
