By "relatively low skill" I simply mean; there's no real need for any specific technical knowledge as such.
The only prerequisite (aside from reliability, trustworthiness and honesty) is a solid command of the English language i.e. in both comprehension and the written word. N.B spoken English is not required.
Although, it would be advantageous if you were genuinely interested in the type(s) of products that I sell.
I have an extremely large product catalogue (say 20,000 + items) from hundreds of different manufacturers.
Unfortunately at present most of the product descriptions are sadly deficient. You see the existing website (or at least all of the product pages) is basically "identical" to my suppliers. This being as they provide CSV files (via ftp) which contains all of the actual product information.
So "adding website content" (in this context) simply means little more than as follows:
Going to the official manufacturers websites and "copying and pasting" the official product descriptions.
Thus you'll go through my product catalogue "manufacturer by manufacturer" and (working your way through product by product) identify each of the individual items by the SKU code.
Subsequently, (after assuring yourself that the information is correct) you'll then transfer the text into my database. This will then be used to update each of the product pages on my website.
Re: the SEO requirements:
This just means changing the following (in an effort to increase the PR):
Each of the product titles.
Meta name="description tags"
Meta name="keywords tags"
BTW I'll assist with the choice of keywords.
Notwithstanding what I've said above about "low skill only being required" it would actually be great if you did have any "specialist knowledge/experience or technical expertise". That is perhaps in "SEO techniques", link building or web promotion. Obviously I'm looking to increase my traffic/sales so (anything which you could do to assist) this would certainly be an advantage.
Pay and hours worked.
We'd agree upon an hourly rate of pay and you can choose to work either full or part time (although I'd require a minimum of 20 hours per week).
