Dear client, My name is Jennifer Richmond and I was born, raised and educated in Germany to a German mother and English father. I started translating English to German some 20 years ago and got my degree as technical translator for mechanical and electrical engineering in English/German/Spanish in 2007. Since then I worked full-time as a translator and technical writer including more than five years with medical devices in Germany and several years in the oil and gas industry in Norway. Since I have not seen the German text and do not know it quality I have two rates. Proofreading a translation done by a native German speaker CAD 0.012/word Proofediting a translation done by a non-native German speaker CAD 0.024/word Since the quality of machine translations are too poor for proofreading I do not proofread machine translations but offer to translate at a rate of CAD 0.06/word.
