Function: Information Technology Job Title: Application Specialist Summary:

Information technology (IT) application specialists develop, manage, and troubleshoot computer programs. They identify and analyze IT problems and needs for their company, and they then develop individual programs that make up software and assemble those programs in a way that meets company needs. Before releasing the end product, they test it and make needed corrections. These professionals typically possess an advanced knowledge of coding and an expertise in the industry they work for (such as finance).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities[1]

Planning and Design

Work with a variety of litigation support technologies including Smart Advocate; Next Point; File Vine; Lexis Advance

Document and execute electronic processing tasks based on instructions.

Execution

Support implementation and operations management best practices, while taking ownership of tasks and/or project work streams and guiding more junior professionals.

Monitoring and Control

Assist in the maintenance of project tracking documents.

Contribute to deliverables and review the work of others for quality and accuracy.

Training and Development

Processes associated with the development of programs to improve professional, technical, and personal skills, and abilities.

Includes the development of programs to educate members of legal operations about policies and procedures relating to Ethics, Data Preservation, and Case Management Software.

Classification

This position is exempt and not subject to overtime rules.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position reports to the COO.
