I have a CSV/Excel file that holds raw customer data. The information is intact, but it is currently one long, mixed list. I need the entire set reorganized so every record falls neatly into clear purchase-history categories (e.g., first-time buyers, repeat customers, high-value spenders). Your task is strictly to build those categories and return a fully formatted workbook that lets me filter, sort, and analyse each group at a glance. Please work in the tool you know best—Excel formulas, Power Query, or even a quick Python/Pandas script—so long as the final deliverable is a tidy .xlsx sheet laid out in separate tabs or clearly labelled columns that reflect each purchase segment. A short note explaining the rules you applied to assign customers to each group will serve as acceptance criteria.

My priority will be to transform your raw customer data into a structured, organized, and easily filterable Excel workbook (.xlsx) without any data loss. The data will be categorized into distinct segments—such as first-time buyers, repeat customers, and high-value spenders—to facilitate immediate analysis. My Approach: I will perform data cleaning and de-duplication using Python (Pandas) and Excel Power Query. Subsequently, I will apply clear logic for classification based on RFM (Recency, Frequency, Monetary) metrics or your specific criteria. The workbook will feature segment-specific tabs, dynamic filters, a summary dashboard, and data validation settings. Finally, I will hand over the file along with a brief explanation of the rules (segmentation logic guide). Key questions regarding the project: 1. Do you have any pre-defined thresholds for 'high-value spenders' and 'repeat customers' (e.g., minimum number of orders or total spend)? 2. Would you prefer separate tabs for the output, or a segment column and pivot summary on the main sheet? 3. How many total records and key columns (e.g., Customer ID, Order Date, Total Amount) are included in the raw file?

> Your task is strictly to build those categories and return a fully formatted workbook that lets me filter, sort, and analyse each group at a glance. How do you want this data displayed? Would adding a column with the label first-time buyers, repeat customers, high-value spenders be enough? Second your sample data does not contain enough information to determine the customer. Will more data be available? I can probably get a first version done in 2 hours. Maybe even one. Depending how hard it is to understand your data. I will use python and essentially implement functions that determine the category of the customer. This should then be easily customizable.

Hi, I notice the customer data is a mixed list, so I'll set up a Python script with Pandas to categorize the purchase history into clear groups. My approach is to use data processing techniques to create separate tabs for first-time buyers, repeat customers, and high-value spenders. I'll make sure the final workbook is fully formatted and easy to analyze. In my experience, a common mistake is not properly handling duplicate records, so I'll check for those and apply rules to assign customers to each group correctly. The client can expect a tidy .xlsx sheet with clearly labelled columns and a short note explaining the rules applied, making it easy to filter, sort, and analyze each group at a glance.

Hi, I can reorganize your raw customer purchase data into clear purchase-history segments such as first-time buyers, repeat customers, and high-value spenders, then return a clean Excel workbook ready for filtering and analysis. The best solution is to first review your CSV/Excel structure, available purchase fields, spend values, transaction dates, and any thresholds you already use. Then I’ll define practical segmentation rules, apply them consistently, and organize the results into separate tabs or clearly labelled category columns. I’m comfortable with Excel, Power Query, Python/Pandas, customer segmentation, purchase-history analysis, formulas, filters, sorting, data cleaning, and structured workbook preparation. Deliverables will include: * Clean categorized .xlsx workbook * First-time buyer segment * Repeat customer segment * High-value spender segment * Additional logical groups if useful * Filterable/sortable structure * Clear category labels * Data consistency check * Short note explaining segmentation rules I’ll focus on making the workbook simple, accurate, and easy to analyse so you can quickly understand customer behaviour without working through the raw mixed list. Best regards Ankit

I opened your RG Fashion Hub June file before writing this, and there is one thing we need to settle first. The 550 orders have no customer name, phone or ID, only city and state, so right now nobody can honestly say who is a first-time or repeat buyer. If your store export has a customer column, send it and I will match it on Order ID. If not, I can use a proxy like city, but I would rather tell you that now than hand you labels that look right and aren't. Two more things I noticed. Selling Price is already the line total (SKU102 is 749 for 1 unit, 1498 for 2), so the sales column multiplies it again and overstates revenue on every multi-qty order. And the pivot sits inside the raw sheet, which breaks filtering. I will use Python/Pandas to clean it, fix revenue, keep the 25 returns out of spend totals, and build an .xlsx with a Customers sheet (orders, units, net spend, first and last order date, segment), separate First-time, Repeat and High-value tabs, an All Orders tab with the segment on every row, and a Rules tab explaining each threshold. All sheets as Excel tables with filters and frozen headers. You also get the script so you can rerun it next month. Does a customer identifier exist anywhere in your system?

Hi, I can clean and reorganize your customer purchase data into a structured Excel workbook with clear, filterable customer segments. I can use Python/Pandas or Excel/Power Query depending on the file structure, while preserving the original data and avoiding unnecessary changes. I’ll handle: - Cleaning and validating the raw customer records - Identifying customers and aggregating their purchase history - Creating clear segments such as first-time buyers, repeat customers and high-value customers - Adding clearly labeled category/segment columns - Creating separate tabs where useful for easy filtering and analysis - Preserving relevant original fields - Applying consistent formatting, filters and sorting - Providing a short explanation of the exact rules used for each category Before categorizing, I’ll inspect the available columns and transaction structure so the segmentation rules are based on the actual data rather than assumptions. The final deliverable will be a clean .xlsx workbook that is easy to filter, sort and analyze. I can start as soon as you provide the CSV/Excel file.

Before segmenting the workbook, I would first verify that each row has a reliable customer identifier; without one, “first-time” and “repeat” labels can be misleading. I would also confirm how you want “high-value” defined—by a fixed spend threshold, percentile, or another business rule. I have hands-on experience with Excel/CSV import-export, data processing, reporting, and customer/order data workflows. My approach is to: normalize the raw data and validate key fields or duplicates; aggregate purchase history per customer and apply explicit segmentation rules; return a clean .xlsx with filterable master data plus clearly separated segment tabs or columns; include a Rules/Notes section and QA totals so every source record can be traced and checked. One question before finalizing the segmentation logic: which column uniquely identifies a customer, and do you already have a threshold for “high-value spender”?

Subject: Customer Segmentation — clean, filterable .xlsx with clear rules Hi, I'm Peng Yingying. This is a straightforward data-structuring job, and I'll deliver exactly what you asked for: a tidy .xlsx where every record sits in a clear purchase-history segment (first-time buyer, repeat customer, high-value group), so you can filter, sort, and analyze each group at a glance. How I'll do it: 1. Segment the data — I'll define clear, objective rules for each category (e.g. first purchase date = first-time buyer; 2+ orders = repeat; spend above a threshold = high-value) and apply them consistently across the whole dataset. 2. Deliver a clean workbook — separate tabs for each segment, or clearly labeled columns, whichever you prefer. Either way, it's ready to filter and sort immediately. 3. Include a short explanation — a written note of the exact rule I used to assign each customer to a group, so the logic is transparent and you can validate or adjust it. I'm comfortable with Excel formulas, Power Query, or a quick Pandas script — I'll pick whichever is cleanest for your data size, and the final deliverable will always be a tidy .xlsx. I can turn this around quickly. If you'd like, I can start with a small sample so you can check my categorization rules before I process the full file. Best regards, Peng Yingying

I opened your June workbook and prepared a three-tab Excel preview using your data. The sample is ready; I will send it as soon as a project chat is available. The preview includes a filterable order sample, an audit of all 550 orders, and a clearly labelled demonstration of the customer-segmentation rules. The audit found 25 returned orders and a ₹735,658 overstatement in the current sales formula: Selling Price already contains the line amount, but the formula multiplies it by quantity again. I have not labelled any real customers as first-time or repeat buyers, because the supplied file contains Order ID but no Customer ID. Once that identifier is available, I can classify every record, exclude returns from customer spend, and deliver a filterable .xlsx with the applied rules explained within two days. Could you share an export with a Customer ID for these orders?

Hi, I reviewed your actual June workbook before bidding and prepared a working Excel preview. I found one important limitation: the 550 orders currently contain no customer name, phone, email or customer ID, so first-time and repeat customers cannot be identified reliably yet. I also found that the current "sales" calculation overstates revenue by ₹735,658 because Selling Price already represents the line amount and is multiplied by Qty again on multi-quantity orders. There are also 25 returned orders that should be excluded from customer spend totals. I have prepared a preview workbook showing the cleaned structure, corrected revenue logic, return handling, audit results and the exact segmentation rules I would apply. If you have another export containing a customer identifier that can be matched using Order ID, I can complete the First-time, Repeat and High-value customer tabs accurately. I can start immediately.

Hello! I can turn your customer purchase list into a clean, filterable Excel workbook with transparent segmentation rules. I will preserve the raw data, standardize customer identifiers, flag missing or ambiguous records, and calculate purchase frequency and total spending per customer. Before assigning categories, I will confirm the threshold for high-value customers and how overlapping segments should be treated. The final .xlsx will include a labelled segment column, formatted tables, filters and a short Rules sheet explaining first-time, repeat and high-value classifications. I will reconcile record counts and totals so the categorization does not lose transactions. My administrative and purchasing background includes organizing data and validating management spreadsheets. Rate: INR 650/hour, maximum 8 hours per week; the hour estimate will be agreed after reviewing the file. I propose a first version in 3 business days after the rules are confirmed, with one consolidated revision. Should high-value status be a separate flag or an exclusive category? Portuguese is my working language; English communication can be handled in writing.
