I am developing a study that uses a fully integrated mixed-methods design to evaluate the outcomes of a health intervention, with a specific emphasis on how it improves participants’ quality of life. I already have the intervention in place; what I need now is a clear, defensible methodology that shows exactly how quantitative metrics and qualitative insights will be collected, analysed, and merged into one coherent set of findings. Here is the scope I need covered: • Study design: an explanatory-sequential or convergent framework (happy to discuss which fits best) that links numerical quality-of-life indicators—e.g., SF-36, EQ-5D, PROMIS—with interview or focus-group narratives. • Data collection plan: sampling strategy, recruitment materials, consent language, survey instruments, and semi-structured interview guides that map to the same outcome domains. • Analysis workflow: statistical tests for pre/post changes, effect sizes, and subgroup exploration in SPSS/R, alongside a thematic analysis in NVivo/[login to view URL]; then an integration strategy (joint-display tables, meta-inferences) that makes the mixed-methods logic transparent. • Deliverables: a concise protocol ready for ethics submission, all data-collection tools, and an integration plan I can drop straight into the final report. Acceptance criteria 1. Protocol follows recognized mixed-methods standards (Creswell, Fetters, NIH guidelines). 2. Survey items and qualitative prompts clearly align with the quality-of-life constructs. 3. Analysis section states software, procedures, and triangulation steps in sufficient detail for replication. If you’re experienced in health research design and comfortable moving between quantitative statistics and qualitative analysis, I’d love to see how you would structure this work.
