I am putting together a single, integrated digital platform for our oilfield services, engineering, and modular systems teams, and the heart of the project is better data management. The main value I need you to unlock is robust analytics and reporting: transforming the flood of data we collect each day into clear, decision-ready insight for everyone from field supervisors to senior engineers. Data will arrive from three directions at once—live sensor feeds on the equipment, structured or ad-hoc entries keyed in by field personnel, and historic or regulatory data we pull from external databases. Your job is to stitch those sources together, clean and store them efficiently, and then surface the results through intuitive dashboards, scheduled reports, and API endpoints our other tools can consume. I expect strong experience with modern data pipelines (Python, SQL, time-series databases, or comparable), ETL/ELT orchestration, and visualization stacks such as Power BI, Grafana, or Tableau. Familiarity with oil & gas domain data (WITSML, OPC-UA, SCADA tags) will be a big plus because it saves us time on schema design. Key deliverables • Architecture diagram covering ingestion, storage, processing, and presentation layers • Working integration for at least one sensor stream, one manual entry form, and one external DB pull • Analytics layer that calculates agreed KPIs (equipment uptime, production efficiency, safety alerts) and exposes them via dashboards and a REST or GraphQL API • Documentation and a short hand-over call so my in-house team can extend the system confidently I am looking to see an end-to-end slice of the platform running in a cloud or on-prem environment we choose together.
