We are looking for a freelance worker to manage an existing set of spreadsheets. These files extract data from emailed or downloaded excel spreadsheets and pdf files and process that data into our own formats and database. This will require an individual well-versed in Microsoft Excel and with a functional knowledge of Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA). Each spreadsheet uses an range of formulas and scripts which will require debugging at times. Additional regular work is available for qualified applicants who perform well with this.
This work needs to be performed daily and will require ~1.5-2 hours of work each day. With practice it can be done more quickly - the current individual managing the work takes ~1 hour to complete the processing. Data files will arrive across the early afternoon AEST and the majority need to be processed by 2:30 PM AEST. A smaller portion of the files will arrive slightly later and need to be processed by 3:00 PM AEST. As such this will require a freelancer who is able to work between the hours of 1 PM AEST and 3 PM AEST.
Some initial training will be required to understand the setup. On the first attempt it will likely take significantly longer to complete. We are only looking for candidates who are willing and able to perform this on a regular basis going forward. Improvements to the current system are encouraged – we will pay on a fixed price completion basis, so any time savings will be to your own benefit.

Note 2: This is budgeted on an estimated per-week basis ($75/week). That will generally require between 5 and 10 hours of work based on your speed.
