I need a letter to release a supervisor of her oversight and responsibilities towards me. In the past we've had work/ethical disagreements due to her interpretation, understanding, and often manipulation of agency and union policies policy procedures. In my efforts to resolve things, I involved upper management, supervisors, and union officials, but she failed to yield to them as well. Her manipulative strategies, combative ways, and failure to conform when corrected adversely affected my employee rights and was the cause of much frustration.
In the letter, I want to make sure she is aware and understands why I have chosen not to have continue as my immediate supervisor. (This was not communicated to her before and that was my error). I am fine now, but I realize to avoid future interactions she must be formally informed. I want this letter not to include the descriptive information of her character above. It shouldn't be defaming or damaging to her career, but informative.
I welcome your advice.
