Medical Data Entry Specialist

We have a client seeking a Medical Data Entry Specialist. The Medical Data Entry Specialist is responsible for entering information into the various clinical systems used by the clinical staff and physicians. The Medical Data Entry Specialist will be required to demonstrate basic computer skills, professional behavior, and the ability to work collaboratively as a member of a high performance team. This position is vital to providing on time data changes within the clinical systems for the practices and the person will be required to demonstrate a strong service commitment by going above and beyond within the team. Responsibilities and Duties Enters patient and account data by inputting alphabetic and numeric information via a computer keyboard Maintains data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures Verifies entered patient and account data by reviewing, correcting deleting or reentering data Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes Providing support to the IS&T team, practice consultants where needed Adding primary care providers and referring providers to the system. Attending meetings to stay apprised of current needs and/or concerns regarding the preloading process. Learning new Hub software in an effort to access the information needed for preloading. Assisting with the task of deleting inactive emails. Problem solving with the preloading team as concerns/issues arise. Collaborate with other team members Contributing as a team member by accomplishing individual/department goals to remain efficient and actively promote Allergy Partners Goals. Maintaining respectful and professional conduct at all times. Maintain patient confidentiality; complies with HIPAA and compliance guidelines established by the practice. Maintains detailed knowledge of computer software as it relates to job functions.
