I have a set of PDFs that I need converted into a clean, well-structured Excel file. Each PDF contains mixed data—text entries alongside numeric values—and I want everything captured exactly as it appears, preserving column order, headers, and any notes that sit within the rows. Your task is straightforward: open each PDF, transfer every piece of information into the correct Excel columns, and double-check totals or figures to be sure nothing was dropped or transposed. No re-formatting beyond basic cell alignment is required; I simply need a faithful digital copy that I can sort and filter later. Deliverables • One consolidated .xlsx file (or separate sheets if you find that clearer) containing the full contents of every supplied PDF • 100 % completeness and accuracy—spot checks will be done against the source files If you already use tools like Adobe Acrobat, Able2Extract, or similar OCR utilities, feel free to rely on them, but final verification must be manual so the workbook is error-free. Let me know roughly how long you’ll need and any prior experience you have doing similar mixed-data transfers.

I can convert your PDF files into a clean, accurate Excel workbook while preserving the original headers, column order, text, numbers, notes, and row structure. I’ll combine efficient extraction with thorough manual verification so the final workbook is a faithful, error-free digital copy suitable for sorting and filtering. Thank you for considering my proposal. I have gone through the requirements in detail. I’ll carefully review every page, transfer all information into the appropriate Excel columns, and cross-check important figures and totals against the source to identify omissions or transposition errors. I’ll provide one consolidated .xlsx file, using separate sheets where that improves clarity. I have uploaded samples similar to this project completed by me earlier in my profile. With 10+ years of experience as a Chartered Accountant (ICAI) and CPA, I have strong expertise in Excel, data processing, financial data, document conversion, and accuracy-focused work. Payment & delivery assurance: ✅ No upfront payment ✅ Release payment after completion or milestone ✅ Regular updates related to the project ✅ Timely delivery ✅ 100% commitment to project completion I’m ready to start immediately and can confirm the exact turnaround after reviewing the number and complexity of the PDFs.

Your PDFs become one Excel file you can sort and filter, with every heading, number, note and total kept in the same order. I can start right now. Within 24 hours you get a live working sample from your first file so you can check it against the source before I finish the set. I have shipped paid software for this mixed text-and-number work. I capture everything as it appears, then I check the figures by hand so nothing is dropped or swapped. No extra formatting. Can you share 1 or 2 sample PDFs so I send the first sheet for you to approve?

Hello, The main risk with mixed PDF data is not the initial extraction—it’s numbers or notes ending up in the wrong Excel column while the workbook still looks correct. Studio SJ can handle this with an extraction-and-verification process: • Preserve the original headers, column order and row notes • Transfer both text and numeric values accurately • Check totals and key figures against the source PDFs • Review for missing, duplicated or transposed entries • Organise the final workbook so it can be sorted and filtered easily • Manually verify the completed data before delivery I can also provide an initial sample sheet so you can confirm the structure before the full set is completed. How many PDFs and approximately how many total pages are included? Kind regards, Soné Joubert

Hello, I can accurately convert your PDF files into clean, well-structured Excel workbooks while preserving the original column order, headers, numerical values, notes, and row structure. I understand that accuracy is the main requirement for this project. I can use OCR/extraction tools where appropriate and will manually verify the extracted data against the original PDFs to minimize errors, missing values, or misplaced figures. I will provide a properly organized .xlsx file with separate sheets if that makes the data clearer and easier to sort/filter. Estimated delivery: 3–5 days, depending on the number and length of PDFs. Bid: ₹18000 INR I am ready to start immediately and can provide a clean and carefully verified final Excel file. Thank you.

Hi — I have to be straight with you about the budget before anything else. The range on this posting is $12,500 to $37,500, and the work you've described would not normally cost anywhere near that unless the volume is very large. My bid sits at the floor because that's the lowest the range allows, not because I think it's the right price. Tell me the page count and I'll quote what it should actually cost. If that turns out to be a fraction of this, good. Now the part that decides whether this job goes well. Not all PDFs are the same job. A PDF with a real text layer extracts programmatically with near-perfect fidelity. A scanned PDF needs OCR, and OCR on numeric data makes specific, predictable errors: 5 and S, 1 and l, 0 and O, and misplaced decimal points. Those errors are dangerous precisely because the output looks clean. Your 100% accuracy bar is straightforward for the first kind and takes real verification effort for the second. One sample page tells me which you have. How I'd actually hit that bar rather than just claim it: Extract programmatically first, using pdfplumber or Camelot for table structure, so column mapping stays consistent across every file instead of drifting between them. Then run checks a person can't do reliably by eye: recompute every total and cross-foot it against the printed total, verify row and column counts per page against the source, and flag any cell failing a type check. A value that should be numeric and isn't gets caught by the script, not by someone scrolling. Then manual review of the flagged cells plus a sampled pass across the rest. Machine-first then human-verify catches far more than human-only, because attention degrades badly somewhere around row two hundred. Your instinct that final verification must be manual is right — I'd just add that the machine pass tells the human where to look. I'd deliver an exceptions sheet alongside the workbook listing anything I couldn't resolve with confidence, rather than making a silent judgment call. On a job where the entire value is fidelity, a documented uncertainty is worth more than a confident guess. To quote properly and confirm the approach I need one representative PDF, even a couple of pages, plus a rough total page count. Happy to run a free sample extraction on a page or two first so you can judge the output quality before committing to anything. We're a two-person team, new to this platform, not new to this kind of work.

As a highly experienced web developer and meticulous data entry specialist, I believe I am uniquely qualified for your PDF to Excel data extraction project. Throughout my career, I have managed, updated, and manipulated databases using SQL and routinely worked with well-structured spreadsheets like MS Excel. Having a solid background in coding, I'm very familiar with the nuances of preserving data formats and accurately transferring them between platforms. What makes me stand out further is my advanced skills in using Python for statistical analysis on large-scale datasets; this includes a thorough understanding of managing mixed data types such as numeric values and text entries simultaneously. Although I'm adept with tools like Adobe Acrobat and Able2Extract, my keen eye for detail ensures that all data transfers will be checked manually for any errors or omissions. Choose me for your project and you'll get an efficient team player who's always ready to perfect every detail of the task at hand. With my reliable work approach, you're guaranteed to receive a consolidated .xlsx file or separate sheets exactly mirroring the contents of each supplied PDF, headers and notes intact

Hi — two questions so I can commit to a firm number rather than a vague one: how many PDFs, and roughly how many pages total? And are the tables machine-readable text, or scans that need OCR? If you attach one sample PDF I'll return the first page converted as a free sample before you award anything, so you can check accuracy against the source yourself. My process: 1. Extract with table-aware parsing that keeps column order and headers intact, rather than a flat text dump that has to be re-columned by hand. 2. Run an automated reconciliation pass — row counts per source page, column counts per table, and any totals or subtotals in the PDF recomputed from the extracted cells. Anything that doesn't reconcile gets flagged. 3. Manually review every flagged row against the source page. 4. Deliver the .xlsx plus a short check sheet showing page-by-page row counts and the totals that were verified, so your spot checks have something to land against. Row notes are preserved in their own column rather than being dropped or merged into adjacent data. Deliverable: one consolidated .xlsx, one sheet per source PDF plus a combined sheet. Scanned pages needing OCR are quoted separately if any turn up.

For mixed text and numeric PDFs, the important part is not the initial extraction. It is the manual verification afterward, especially where OCR can misread decimals, totals, dates, or column boundaries. I can transfer the complete dataset into a clean Excel workbook while preserving headers, row notes, column order, and numeric values exactly as supplied. Each sheet will be checked against the source PDFs, including totals and randomly selected rows, before delivery. I can provide one consolidated .xlsx file or logically separated sheets where appropriate. Approximately how many PDFs and total pages are included? That will let me give you an accurate turnaround time.

Hello, the PDFs contain mixed data, and the real problem is not extraction itself-it's preventing shifted columns, missed notes, and transposed numbers that make the final Excel unreliable. I'd use OCR-assisted extraction first, then manually verify headers, row notes, numeric values, and totals against the source PDFs before delivering the workbook. One thing that often gets overlooked is merged cells and irregular table layouts, which can silently break imports; I'd check those manually. If you are interested let me know. How many PDFs are involved, and are they mostly text-based or scanned documents?

Hi! I can help with this PDF-to-Excel data extraction. Before I finalize my timeline and quote, a quick clarification would help me deliver with 100% accuracy: 1. How many PDF files / pages are there in total? 2. Are they digital/text-based PDFs or scanned images? (Scanned ones need OCR, which I can handle, but it affects the timeline.) 3. Are the tables fairly consistent in structure, or do layouts vary significantly? Regarding the work itself: I'm experienced with extracting mixed text + numeric data from PDFs into clean, well-structured Excel while preserving column order, headers, and any row-level notes. I verify every figure against the source and run final checks so nothing is dropped or transposed. I can also send you a small sample output from your first file for approval before doing the full set. Proposed: 15000 INR for the project, ~7 days depending on page count and format. Happy to start as soon as you share the files and answer the questions above. Thanks!

Hi, New on Freelancer — 20 years of development experience behind us. We're taking our first few projects here at a fraction of our normal rate purely to build our review history. You get senior agency work at junior pricing; we get a review. Straight trade. when converting PDFs to Excel, a common challenge is maintaining the integrity of mixed data formats, especially when text and numeric values need precise alignment. I'd start by setting up a custom script to automate this extraction, ensuring consistency across all files. Can you share a sample PDF so I can evaluate the data structure?

"Exactly as it appears, preserving column order, headers and the notes inside rows" is the right spec, and it is also the part that decides whether this job is quick or slow. So one question before a number, because it changes the work completely. Are your PDFs text-based or scanned? If they were exported from software, the text is already in the file and the columns can be read out directly and accurately, including the numbers. If they are scans or photos, there is no text to read and it has to be OCR'd, which introduces errors that must then be checked line by line. Same-looking PDFs, very different jobs. The second thing that matters is whether the table layout is consistent across the set. One repeating layout means the extraction is built once and run over everything. Mixed layouts, merged cells or rows that spill across pages need handling case by case. The detail I would not skip: numbers. Figures that arrive as text into Excel look right and then refuse to sum, and dates silently reformat. I would make sure numeric columns land as real numbers and dates as real dates, so the sheet is usable rather than just a picture of your PDF. Send me two or three representative PDFs, ideally the messiest ones, and tell me roughly how many there are. I will extract one fully and send it back so you can check the accuracy before we agree the whole set.
