Hi, I will build a Java application to download images and scrape product info from retail websites. I will save the data on file system in organized way. I will also create a MySQL database to save product name, brand name and its respective image/images path on the file system. I will use Jsoup/Selenium to parse the HTML of websites. The scraper is easy to build but there are other factors which may make the application complex. For example, If we take SafeWay, there are many locations and each location shows different items on the website. The items on the website depends on the location of the store. To scrape all the items, we have to scrape individual location's website. The scraper is same for all the individual locations, but we have to scrape by changing the location on the website to get all the products data. FYI: There are 898 locations in United States.
