I am looking for someone to create a sales income spreadsheet that can automatically input new monthly sales data from a text file or pdf.
I am a photographer and my photographs are sold by an image library. Every month I am sent a sales statement that lists which of my photos have sold, and how much for. The sales statement is sent to me as a pdf and a text file. It lists a unique photo identification number and how much that photo has sold for (as well as other information).
I want a spreadsheet that lists this sales data and that I can update each month with the new sales statement. It also needs to be able to have photos, to give a visual representation of the photos.
So left to columns would be:
1. A photo (the image that is for sale)
2. The total amount that photo has sold for over all time.
3. The image number.
4, 5, 6, 7 and onwards. A new column for each month, with the sales data for that month.
The top row would list the months/year
The second row would list the total sales for that month in dollars. (this figure is supplied on the sales statement)
the third row would list the total sales for that month in pounds. (this figure is supplied on the sales statement)
The rest of the rows would be the photos that are for sale.
Each month I would want to be able to easily and automatically import my new data.
If you agree to this job, I will be able to send you a months sales report, so you can see the formatting.
Please let me know how much you would charge to do this work. Also let me know which software you would use. I have a Mac and at the moment have Microsoft Excel X for mac, but I might be able to get different software if needed.
There is no rush on this.
