You need to design :
(i) a decoder such that the 3-bit combinations on inputs X2, X1 and X0 are mapped for the 8 mapped directions, 0 through 7, to the outputs a through g. Input combinations are from 000 to 111. Appropriate segments are illuminated for the display of the directions. The desired display patterns
(ii) a counter with a specific counting sequence as described below.
Based on the last digit of the group leader’s student ID, N, different set of counting
sequence is adopted.
The system design must be done using an appropriate Computer-aided Design (CAD)
software. The completed system should be simulated and analyzed to verify that the tasks are performed correctly. Complete system design, i.e., the state transition diagram,
to be ready in 3 days .
