we want to use intersystems cache database as a back end for our website to do the following:
[url removed, login to view] look up that will enable authorized users through their browsers to look up hospital and dr information in our database. there are approximately 2 million records, each having the same basic 10 [url removed, login to view] will be able to print their results. queries will be pre defined.
[url removed, login to view] web based app that will deal with claims data records. claim records will all be the same, having 30 fields. import of the records will be by dbf file. not all fields will be full at the beginning of the claim process. records will be exported to other users who will populate the missing field data and send back to us. some fields within a record will autocalulate (simple algebra only) when the relevant fields have data inserted in them. several permission levels required to use, view etc. other operations will include reports, invoices and documents
the budget for this project should have been set for 500 to 2,500 dollars.
while cache is the preferred database to be used, we may consider mysql if it could provide the same ease of use and simple user interface.
