My WECON HMI is supposed to push out a specific HEX command string through the serial port using a feature called user defined protocol, yet nothing leaves the pins. I have already set up the screen in PIStudio, mapped the objects to the port and double-checked the device table, but the transmit line remains silent. I’m looking for someone who can step in, review the current configuration and wiring, then pinpoint why the port refuses to send. The task is squarely about debugging: you may find the culprit in incorrect register calls, buffer handling, timing, or something deeper in the user-defined protocol script. Scope of work chat session where I can send photos of all: physical cabling, Wecon communication settings and screen with objects. Acceptance criteria The job is complete once I can repeatedly observe the correct HEX data leaving the designated port and see the receiving device acknowledge it. I already spent several hours trying to solve this with IA, on top of what I already know in electronics and automation, but the solution must come from someone who has done this before because the manual is very brief about this topic. I already configured the communications (RS232) on the HMI (PI3102ig) which for now talks to a PC's serial port for debugging. I have one bit button configured to activate one message, but when I activate the button, there is no activity coming from the serial port. Please state clearly that you have worked on these units (WECON HMI) specificaly on user-defined serial implementations when you submit your offer.
