Long-Term Linux Sysadmin Partnership

We need a SKILLED SySAdmin with proven trackrecord. We are looking for 1 perspn, or preferable a small company etc. 2 SysAdmins working together. We are NOT looking for BIG companies with many different Sysadmins, we need a personal working relationship. About us: We run several production-grade Linux servers that need a steady, knowledgeable hand. So ONLY if YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE with these systems and technologies, contact me now. Our setup: 6 virtual servers running on [login to view URL] 2 running Dockerfrontend stuff with HAproxy, KeyCloak and Openremote and Caddy 3 running PostGres databases with Hetzner loadbalander, bucardo 1 running Nagios As you see some of the services are containerised with Docker, like Openremote, KeyCLoak, HAproxy, so you MUST HAVE experience with Docker. The tasks: As a startup we will have projects coming from time to time, big and small. It will start slow, and will gradually progress in the future. Examples on what we need a sysAdmin to solve, would be stuff like: server maintenance (Update OS, fix security issues generally keeping all core services up to date. ) Sercver changes (Attached drives, expand storage , LoadBalancer issues, Setup Email on Nagios etc.) Update to latest OpenRemote docker image (WIthout us loosing any setup info or data or uptime) Changing Domain/reverse DNS Chaiging a name in OpenRemote login page, Favicon Changing a theme on KeyClaok etc. Maintain Postgres, manage Bucardo replication, and verify fail-over procedures actually work. • Optimise HAProxy and Caddy configs for performance, SSL, and zero-downtime reloads. The colaboration: This is how I would like for us to colaborate in our long term working relationship. Can you see your self in this? 1. We will tell the SysAdmin we have some tasks that need to be solved. The SysAdmin will always make a serious time esitmation for both cost and time at this point. Based on that we will make a Milestone and escrow the money so the SysAdmin can feel secure. 2. SysAdmin will start the work. 3. When work is done, AND TESTED by the SysAdmin, The SySadmin will inform us its DONE 4. After checking the task was solved, we will inform the SysAdmin of any issues we found or any things that need correction. (Testing on our part will usually be done within a few days, and no longer than a week) 5. After the corrections are done by the SysAdmin we will release the milestone (Usually within a few days, and no longer than 1 week) Success for me means: • You have a FIXED IP • You are able to use SSH keys • Implement agreed tasks/fixes swiftly. • You can act switfly in emergencies • If you are unavailable for some time (vacation etc.) you will inform us beforehand • you can take ownership of the server layer and will be proactive about security and performance • Communication over chat for resolving questions/doubts about ongoing tasks • Communication in a document for any deeper analyses or reports. • If you will be delayed, you will commmunicate it (DONT go quiet) • If there is some task you are not able to solve, or dont have experience with you will TELL US • Document every change made, in a standardized way, so we can always track what was done and why.
