Windows forms (VB) to WPF (C#) migration

I am looking for a skilled developer who can help me migrate my medium-sized Windows forms application with some complexity to a WPF application using C#. As I am open to suggestions regarding the functionality and design of the WPF application, I am looking for someone who has experience with UI/UX and can provide creative and innovative solutions. The timeline for the project is flexible, with a completion date of 2-3 months.
The application has been written in Windows Forms/VB. I'm looking to redevelop the application into a modern interface probably using WPF using something not VB, probably C#. Initially i'm looking for someone to develop a new GUI only. Possibly code conversion from VB at a later stage.
The ideal candidate should have the following skills and experience:
- Proficiency in VB and C#
- Experience with Windows forms and WPF
- Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
