The mass attraction for upcoming event of Health Arts Society. Two-way database integration can be done by 3 different way
➥ FileMaker PUSH + Drupal PUSH
➥ Drupal sync script that a record from FileMake
➥ RESTfull web service and rules
But the good, fastest and safest process for pull and push between them is RESTfull web services.
Expose resource in a standard way for external "consumption" and data sent and retrieved by JSON, XML etc.
all the standard HTTP method is supported by this like post, get, put and delete.
Other two option are also ok, we can use it
but their limitation which interrupts the process and makes it slow. like the first one FileMaker PUSH + Drupal PUSH
➥ FileMaker hooks are quicker to learn but no easy way to capture post/get/put/delete.
➥ It is easy to learn but very difficult to learn and need to depend on a client to develop and maintain the script.
whatever process we use we need cron either on Drupal end or in server end to auto-synchronize the data between FileMaker and Drupal. Once cron is set we not need to worry what new data we have on both ends will up to date.
You need to install and enabled rules, web service/ client module to complete the task.
But, Yes there is one secret I still have to share with you, that is all the above is only for one way sync but we have to adjust few more thing for making it two way, I will share you in chat when we talk.
I am waiting for you.
