At Semiotic Labs, we are passionate about solving the problem of unplanned downtime. We use AI-driven electrical waveform analysis to offer a smart predictive maintenance system that increases productivity while saving customers’ time and money. With customers all over the world and an ever-growing installed base, we are now putting together a global team of remote Customer Onboarding Electrical Engineers on a freelance basis. For this team, we are looking for freelance Electrical Engineers who can support our customers with a first-time-right onboarding process.
The Customer Onboarding team is a crucial part of the broader Customer Success organisation. This organisation works relentlessly to ensure an exceptional customer journey in extracting value from our service. Our Technical Implementation Specialists manage the installation of our hardware at production sites of our clients around the world, providing them an excellent and smooth onboarding experience to our condition monitoring service. They do this mostly remotely, from our office in the Netherlands. However, with our growing customer base that consists of large global companies with several locations, we sometimes need to offer engineering support on location as well. This is where you, as a freelance Electrical Engineer, step in.
You will travel to client sites within your pre-defined geography (for instance, the United States and Canada) to directly support the client with the installation of our product, SAM4. First-time-right installation is of crucial importance, to ensure our customers directly experience the value add, and have a seamless experience from the first interaction onwards. Therefore, you will get intimately acquainted with SAM4, through an extensive training (if possible, at our head office) and subsequent periodical educational updates. You will also get to know our organisation well, and work closely (if remotely) together with our Customer Success and Customer Onboarding teams.
This flexible freelance role provides tremendous opportunity to build and extend a regional or even global industry network, and help customers solve the challenge of unplanned downtime. Furthermore, it will provide you with the opportunity to work with and learn from the high-caliber, ambitious Semiotic Labs team. A team that is passionate about technology and its implications in the industry. The ideal candidate for this freelance position is a Electrical Engineer who can work independently, who understands the importance of project ownership, and who showcases the strong communication skills needed to work with a range of international clients.

This seems like a very strange way to recruit people for your product, but I am an Electrical Engineer and I do need additional work. So, I will throw my account in the bucket.
