Need to design a system to operate quantity 12 24V DC pumps using a microcontroller. The pumps will dispense flavoring syrup. Each pump is activated by a push-button switch. If a button is pushed once, the system will make an audible "beep" and the pump will activate at full power. It will run for a preset length of time. If the button is pushed two times, it will beep twice and run for twice as long. Again, if the button is pushed three times, it will beep three times and run for three times the length of time.
Since there will be 12 pumps and 12 buttons, the system must allow for multiple users (as many as three) to operate the pump control simultaneously.
I would like to use a microcontroller with a small touch screen to allow the user to set the pumping time. So, the screen should show something like "Pump 1 - set dispense time:". The user would set the level of time the pump would operate if the button is pushed only once. The user could scroll from screen to screen (pump to pump) to set individual dispense times for each pump.
We would require that you source an inexpensive microcontroller with touch screen. It could by Microchip, STM32, etc. We would also require you to find a pump controller/driver board or possibly a simple relay board to operate the pumps. We may be able to assist you as we have done some of this research already. We would like to be able to have the programming files afterwards so that we can make changes if necessary.
This project would need to be completed and in our hands by the end of April (one month). If you are able to do this project, I will take your bid to the people who have initiated this project. We must get their approval before starting the process. We will, of course, pay for the hardware costs in addition to your programming time.
