The device must give off a short "Bleep" of 0.1 sec every 3 seconds on frequencies between 149-151 MHz. (You may want to alter this as you see fit. But we must be able to stay in none licenced ranges or where inexpensive directional antennas and radios can be acquired)
Be able to transmitter said signal to a receiver with directional antenna over 500m-1km.
The device should have an OD of 8.5 and length of 50mm. The OD must step down at about 35% of total length. to about 6.5mm The deivce must be able to take 1 or 2 small batteries at the ticker end. The Batteries should be able to last a min of 12-24 hours.
The device needs to be able to handle some sort of impact so. Crystals must be avoided. As far as possible.
Costing should be based as follows.
1. Cost of the design phase.
2. Testing in lab
3. Testing in Field conditions
4. Review and changes
The device should preferably fall with in a few dollar per device constraint.
Expected production per month will be from 100- 5000. Depending on how well it performs.
