Tanks Calibration System
System Working: The Tank Calibration Unit constitutes of a Microprocessor to process all the data and simulate commands; powered with rechargeable battery, with minimum 12 hours backup; 2 line LCD to display both Level and Volume simultaneously; Keys (may be 4) to operate / configure it; one relay Output to control the pump; one Wireless module to communicate with Level Meter, one Port to communicate with Flowmeter (RS485 / Pulse / 4 ~ 20mA), one USB port to communicate with Computer, one Power port to recharge the battery.
The unit shall be connected to the Flowmeter Output port through proper connector and is detachable. The Output from the Flowmeter is tapped and processed into Volume and displayed on the LCD 2nd line. The Level data from the Level Meter is tapped wirelessly and processed into height and displayed in the first line of the LCD. The 'height' units can be selected in millimeters / centimeters / inches. The volume units can be selected in Liters / Kiloliters / Gallons. Calibration resolution can be selected 1mm / 1cm / 1 inch and the volume can be selected as liters / kiloliters / gallons. The files are recorded as per the selected height resolution in the TCU, which can be later transferred into the PC for printouts. The data shall also be saved in the Computer for later reference. The files are saved in the 'Level Vs. Volume' format. The maximum tank height can be selected in the TCU, which shall give Relay Output accordingly to control the valve or pump. Once the selected maximum height is attained, the data recording shall be stopped.
Your Scope of work:
1. Designing a Data Converter (RS485 / 4 ~ 20mA / Pulse to Wireless mode), which consumes less power, as it has to work on rechargeable battery and for minimum 12 hours.
2. Designing the Tank Calibration Unit as per the above details.
3. Developing the software for Computer to save the files from the TCU in appropriate format. Also 2 printout formats have to be developed (A4 and Customer Letterhead) which are selectable.
