Hi, This sounds to be a nice project. I suggest we go with STM32 as you are saying that you want to run the system via solar-power. The reason is, STM32 consumes far less power when compared to ESP32 and is quite accurate in terms of data with sensors/actuators. If you have plan of going for WiFi functionality as such in the near future, I suggest to go with ESP32. But, as far as I see now, STM32 will be a very good choice. We can go with something like STM32WB. I personally worked with it. The BLE server works great and it has an OTA functionality that STM offers. I would like to discuss further on this and build this for you. Coming to my experience with STM32, I worked with HAL, Bare-Metal and freeRTOS on different STM32 chips.
