I already have a working prototype for a small motor-driven device, but the current PCB needs refining before I can move toward production. I’m looking for someone to step in, update the board, and help me decide whether it should ultimately run from an on-board battery or a wired supply. Also decide to use a switch or not. It’s also a Bluetooth powered device for wireless operations, but additional options can be added to suit other conditions. Here’s what I need: • Tidy up component placement so the layout is cleaner and easier to assemble in the enclosure. • Modify the circuit where necessary to make it more compact. It should be compliant with EMC and expected to pass any tests • Adjust the board outline; the enclosure has changed slightly, so the PCB has to shrink by a few millimetres and adjust mounting holes in the enclosure. • Provide a clear, data-backed recommendation on the power architecture. I’m still undecided between battery-powered and non-battery operation, so your analysis should cover size, cost, expected run-time, recharge logistics (if applicable), and any regulatory implications. - Ensure the device rotates and stops in demand without issues - decide if the device requires a physical switch or no switch. Deliverables: 1. Design for manufacturing by Updated schematic and PCB layout files (EasyCad, KiCad, or Eagle—whichever you prefer, as long as Gerbers and BOM are included). 2. A short technical report comparing battery vs. wired supply for this device and stating which approach you recommend and why. 3. Manufacturing-ready files and an annotated BOM so I can send everything straight to the fab house. 4. Help in submitting order for the new PCB on JLCPCB. 5- Test the device and do any needed refinement. If you’ve tackled compact motorised products before and can balance electrical performance with mechanical constraints, I’d like to hear how you’d approach this.

Greetings, I have over 10 years of experience in embedded systems, including PCB design, STM32/ESP32 firmware, Bluetooth communication, and power management. Recently, I worked on a compact battery-powered sensor device involving STM32, ESP32, BLE, charging circuitry, and several PCB revisions to resolve hardware and assembly issues. For your project, I'd first review the existing schematic, PCB, motor control, and enclosure dimensions, then compare battery and wired power based on actual motor consumption, size, cost, and runtime. I'd also evaluate whether a physical switch is necessary, improve the layout with EMC considerations, and prepare the manufacturing files for JLCPCB. I estimate 3–5 days for the initial design review and power recommendation, followed by 1–2 weeks for PCB updates and manufacturing preparation, with hardware testing scheduled after the boards arrive. Could you share your existing PCB design, enclosure dimensions, and motor specifications so I can confirm the timeline and cost? Sincerely, Oleksandr

Hi, I have experience redesigning compact motor-control and Bluetooth hardware with protected power domains from 1.1 V to 48 V, including boards with 10+ monitored/control I/O channels. I have taken prototypes through schematic cleanup, PCB miniaturization, EMC-focused layout, BOM/DFM review, JLCPCB release, and production-oriented testing. Approach ✅ I will audit the existing schematic/PCB, motor drive, Bluetooth section, power path, grounding, protection, and enclosure constraints, then identify the changes required for EMC and manufacturability. ✅ I will shrink and re-route the board around the revised enclosure, mounting holes, motor-current paths, antenna keep-out, thermal paths, assembly clearances, and practical test points. ✅ I will compare battery versus wired power using measured load/current data, runtime, charging, size, BOM cost, switch strategy, safety, and regulatory impact, then validate the revised prototype before production. Questions ✅ What motor voltage, peak/stall current, operating duty cycle, and existing power-input range does the prototype use? ✅ Can you provide the current schematic/PCB files, enclosure CAD, revised dimensions, and Bluetooth module/MCU part number? ✅ What target runtime, product usage pattern, and intended compliance markets (UK/EU/US) should the power decision be based on? Best, Yaroslav

Hello, I am a Full Stack Engineer and PCB Designer with 10 years of experience, providing PCB layout, circuit design, Bluetooth, power management, DFM, and manufacturing support. In my opinion, I would first optimize the existing PCB around the updated enclosure and motor requirements, while keeping EMC, assembly, and serviceability in mind. I would also compare battery and wired power based on size, cost, runtime, charging, and regulatory requirements before selecting the final approach. This project is very similar to my previous works. I have worked on compact motor-driven electronics, Bluetooth devices, power systems, and production-ready PCB designs. I understand how to balance electrical performance with tight mechanical constraints. The most important skill is PCB optimization for production. I will apply it to placement, routing, power architecture, EMC, mounting, and DFM. So, I will divide your project into three major steps. 1️⃣ Review the existing design, enclosure, and power requirements. 2️⃣ Update the schematic, compact the PCB, and adjust the board outline and mounting holes. 3️⃣ Validate the design, prepare BOM/Gerbers, test the device, and support the JLCPCB order. Via private chatting or meeting, I will provide the creative idea and good tech solution for your project. Best regards. Maksym
