Hi, I need an industry freelancer experienced in Mechanical engineering, rapid prototyping, reverse engineering, and printing technologies to provide the following together with your past portfolios :
Enhance design of existing commercial 3D printer which has the current parts :
- main chassis + logic chip
- toolheads
- material holders (catridges)
- material holder tips
- printing tray
- piston
- Motor
- belts, cables and hex sets
Deliverables :
- Breakdown and describe all existing parts in use including provision of 3D design models (editable CAD files) in a common design software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc).
- Breakdown and describe all existing parts in use including provision of 2D manufacturing models (editable CAD files) in a common design software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc).
- Technical writeup using MS Word documentation of all drawings/views of assembled machine + individual parts components stating description, design rational, dimensions, weight, list of different materials proposed and rational (for new items) and currently used (for current hardware and software).
- Provide editable STL & STEP files for complete system and individual components.
To Include Enhancements :
- Upgrade to have 3 x metallic catridges/nozzles and 3 x plastic catridges/nozzles.
- Metallic nozzles to have heating implement at its tip to enable heating of ingredients passing through it. Heating temperature is adjustable by software or switch on chassis.
- Design of 10 different sizes of nozzle tip holes for both metallic and plastic nozzles (from 1mm to 5mm).
- Chassis dimensions may remain the same but allow for heights of up to 50cm for printing of tall products.
- Add removal flat printing tray (pan shaped with handle) of about 5mm that sits on top of actual printing tray.
- Washing implement for washing all detachable components (metallic and plastic catridges/nozzles, tubings etc).
- Selection and Programming of open source 3D printing software to fit customized machine.
Payment :
25% released upon completion of technical writeup, 50% milestone released upon completion and handover of all deliverables, remaining 25% milestone released upon manufacturer confirmation that designed parts are production ready and interoperable as per submitted designs. This should take about 2-3 weeks or less.
